Dire d’un styliste qu’il est élégant relève a priori du pléonasme et pourtant, on ne peut trouver meilleur qualificatif lorsque l’on parle de Christian. L’élégance ne définit pas seulement son style mais aussi ses qualités humaines qui contribuent à rendre toute prise de vue harmonieuse. Christian découvre son métier en réalisant des compositions narratives pour le magazine floral Bloom de Li Edlekoordt. Son esprit touche-à-tout s’emballe et depuis lors, il ne cesse de chine, déniche, bricole, exhume des objets pour raconter des histoires. Il se nourrit de l’air du temps, d’expositions, de voyages et, surtout, de cinéma. En ce domaine, il dit préférer la production française aux films à gros budget, « l’idée étant plus importante que les moyens».

To describe a stylist as elegant is explanation enough and yet one could go a step further when considering Christian. Elegance doesn’t just define his style but also his human qualities which contribute to the harmonious quality of his work. Christian discovered his profession making narrative compositions for Li Edlekoordt’s floral magazine Bloom. Everything he touched was inspired by his spirit. Since then, he hasn’t stopped antique-hunting, digging out treasures, buying bits and pieces, unearthing objects and discussing their history. He is inspired by all that surrounds him: exhibitions, travel, and especially the cinema. Of the latter, he says he prefers French film to blockbusters, “the idea being more important than the means.”
